The Walters Art Museum, Baltimore, Maryland, USA.
The Walters Art Museum began with a gift from collector and philanthropist Henry Walters of his extensive art collection, two buildings, and a donation to the city of Baltimore "for the benefit of the public." The museum, then known as the Walters Art Gallery, opened in November 1934 in the Palazzo building on North Charles Street.
The Walters Art Museum's collection spans more than seven millennia, from 5000 BCE to the 21st century, and comprises 36,000 objects. This extraordinary collection is rich in works that represent the pinnacle of human creativity and artistry.
The museum displays the works of famous masters:
Wolfgang Grosschedel, Landshut, Germany.
Jörg Sorg, Augsburg, Germany.
Michel Witz, the Younger, Innsbruck, Austria.
