Michel Witz, the Younger

Michel Witz, the Younger - Michael Witz der Jüngere, (1505/10-1588г.),  Innsbruck, Austria.

Michel Witz the Younger is a leading exponent of the Innsbruck school of armor, whose works were richly decorated without losing their functional purpose. In 1561, Michel Witz the Younger purchased Arnholz Castle from his son-in-law, Kampf. Michel Witz's workshop produced approximately thirty suits of armor and other armor elements, some of which have been preserved and are on display in museums around the world.
