Pasina Castle - Pašina tabija, Capljina, Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The medieval town of Počitelj was first mentioned in historical sources on February 19, 1444. It was built on a steep stone cliff on the left bank of the Neretva.
The Hungarian-Croatian king Matijaš Corvin saw the danger of the coming Turkish military force and with the help of Herceg Stjepan, the lord of the Hum region, which was called Herzegovina after him, and with the material help of the Republic of Dubrovnik, additionally established Počitelj. For five full years, the Christian defenders of Počitelje resisted the Turkish power, but on September 19, 1471, the fort fell, as one of the last strongholds of the "duke's land".
After the Turkish occupation, Počitelj became even stronger due to its strategic importance, and in the following 450 years of occupation, it acquired an oriental "touch".
