Museo de Armas de la Nación - Museum of Arms of the Nation, Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, República Argentina.

In the heart of Buenos Aires, opposite Plaza San Martín, is the Museo de Armas de la Nación. It is located within the Palacio Paz, the headquarters of the Argentine Army's military circle. Inside, you can visit a complete collection of weapons, spanning periods from the Middle Ages to the present day. The abundance with which the collection is presented and maintained is remarkable. Notably, many weapons belonging to the Argentine Navy were discovered within the collection.

The museum was founded by decree of October 1, 1904, by President Julio Argentino Roca and his Minister of War, General Pablo Riccheri, under the name "National Museum of Arms." It was originally located in the Invalides Barracks in the Palermo neighborhood.

On December 16, 1911, President Roque Sáenz Peña, by Decree No. 5022, changed the name to "Military Museum," enriching it with collections belonging to the military arsenal and arranging for its installation in the premises of the now-defunct railway exhibition.

This century was later established by Law No. 12390 of August 27, 1938, that under the name "National Museum of Arms," it would operate alongside the National Military Library in a building acquired from the Paz family for the headquarters of the Military Circle, known as the "Retiro Palace."
