Carlo Filangieri Room
   Carlo Filangieri was a key military figure in the Kingdom of Naples: he was awarded the honorary title of Knight of the Order of San Gennaro, demonstrating his close ties to the Deputation that manages and preserves the Treasure of San Gennaro.
   His son, Prince Gaetano Filangieri, decided to dedicate the first room of the museum to his father Carlo. It was designed to create harmony between the 15th-century style of the Como Palace and the best possible display of numerous works (arts, weapons, paintings, etc.).
   The Carlo Filangieri Room is divided into three sections by large vaults designed in the style of the gold mosaics of the Venetian Fabbrica Salviata. It features many narrative features: Renaissance architecture, innovative twentieth-century art, sculptures, weapons, dresses, and oriental ceramics, depicting various cultures.

   The focal point of the entire room is a niche containing a bust of Carlo Filangieri by Tito Angelini.
