   Immerse yourself in the past of the Bernese Islands and follow the journey of Bern from a rural village to a city-state amidst the mightiest lands of the Alps. Spanning approximately 1,200 square meters and featuring key objects, the exhibition provides an overview of the history of the city and region of Bern. Objects presented in 16 rooms cover the period from 400 to 1700. Approximately 500 exhibits from various sources bring to life the worlds of that time, including paintings, sculptures, furniture, weapons, household items, and textiles. Their use and thematic references are organized.
