Bribir Castle - Kaštel Bribir, Bribir, Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, Republic of Croatia.

At the beginning of the 13th century, the castle was owned by the Counts of Krk (Frankopan), and in the 16th century, it passed to Zrinski. It was a fortress surrounded by double walls with a narrow courtyard, residential and utility buildings, and two towers (round and square). Briber flourished most during the reign of Bernardin Frankopan, who strengthened the citadel and city walls. After the end of the Ottoman threat, the fortress's strategic importance gradually declined and its significance diminished. In 1848, city authorities demolished the entrance gate to the fortress and the castle itself to build administrative buildings and a school. Only the northern fragments of the walls and one tower remain—the square one, known as Turan. It now houses an exhibition featuring reconstructed coats of arms, medieval weapons, seals, and flags of Frankopan and Zrinski.
