Zwilling Castle

Zwilling Castle is one of the youngest castles in Croatia. It was commissioned by Cornelius Zwilling in the early 20th century on a site amidst marshes that had been converted into ponds. Built in the late Art Nouveau style using reinforced concrete, the castle impresses with its architecture, with numerous towers, loggias, and other details.
Its location amidst ponds has given it another name – Fishtown. The area around the castle is currently a nature and bird reserve of Northern Croatia. The castle itself is privately owned, but it is abandoned and has fallen into disrepair.
