Ruyff Castle

A typical example of a medieval lord's country residence, this castle owes its name to the knight Arnold de Rueve, who owned it in 1172. On August 29, 1989, the castle was listed as a historical monument, a designation that also applied to the farm and outbuildings. Since 1999, it has belonged to the Wiertz family, who are undertaking its restoration.
