The Armory.

   The first room of the Rivalta Castle Museum contains a collection of arms and armor from the 15th to 18th centuries. Of particular importance are the Japanese armor, which arrived at the castle thanks to the passion of Count Orazio Zanardi Landi, who was fascinated by objects and weapons of particular artistic and historical interest. The rarest and most valuable evidence of the castle's military past, which can be admired here, are three banners and eleven small flags dating back to the Battle of Lepanto on October 7, 1571. These flags flew from the galleys of the Scotti family, ancestors of the Zanardi Landi family, to celebrate the victory at Lepanto, in which the Christians defeated the Turks despite their superior numbers.
