Burg Hochosterwitz - Hochosterwitz Castle, Launsdorf, Kärnten, Republik Österreich.

As stated in his will, Georg Khevenhüller equipped the castle with weapons to protect the castle and its residents. A large number of weapons have been preserved and are on display to this day. These include hunting weapons, cannons, and a bomb from the early 14th century, which is likely the oldest known firearm in the world. Harnesses, armor, halberds, and swords attest to the close combat necessary to fight invading armies. Loot from the Turkish wars is present, as are crossbows, bows, arrows, and daggers. The world's only known man-catcher is held in tournament armor from Nuremberg. The well-known Khevenhüller belts showcase the finest art of engraving and armor. Weapon enthusiasts will get their money's worth, as will history buffs. Adults and children alike can immerse themselves in the adventures of knights of yesteryear.
