Valentin Siebenbürger

Valentin Siebenbürger, (1510-1564г.), Nuremberg, Germany.

A hallmark in the form of a knight's helmet with the letters V and S. The maker's mark is accompanied by a Nuremberg hallmark.

   Valentin Siebenbürger began creating armor around 1530-31, but unfortunately, very little information about the master's life has survived. The master's armor was richly decorated with magnificent engravings depicting biblical scenes and the coats of arms of his famous clients.
