Lucio Piccinino, (1538 - 1607г.), Milan, Italy.
Lucio Piccinino is the son of Antonio Piccinino, a famous sword maker. There is no reliable information whether Lucio was an armor maker or only engaged in decoration. Lucio was excessively devoted to decorating armor, forgetting about its practical use. All the master's works are worked out in detail, which is an indicator of high technical skill. Lucio Piccinino's workshop produced several orders for various dukes and princes of the Habsburg court.
Famous customers of the master:
Emperor Ferdinand II.
Herzog Alessandro Farnese, Herzog von Parma und Piacenza.
